Friday Favorites!

Friday, June 9, 2017

Happy Friday, y'all!  As usual, I'm linking up with some of my favorites to share my Friday Favorites!

Yesterday I posted about my Summer Staples, and I had so many people emailing me about this spray.  Yes, it really does help fight frizz in the summer humidity.  Year-round I use it as an adult detangler.  As soon as I get out of the shower and towel dry my hair a little, I spray it all over my hair in order to get my comb through my hair.  But in the summer months  I add in an extra step.  Right before I'm about to dry my hair, I spray more of that spray all over my hair.  It doesn't make it oily or greasy.  It's hard to describe what it does, but it's like it helps to add some weight to your hair so it doesn't frizz but without the greasiness or oiliness you would expect.  Take it from an Alabama girl when I say this definitely helps with frizz during the most humid time of the year!

I've been on the hunt for a good pair of comfortable wedges that I can stand in and teach all day, and I think I've found the pair.  I ordered these wedges yesterday and after Shay posted about how cushioned they are and after reading all of the reviews on Nordstrom, I think these may be it for me!  I know a lot of teachers wear OTBTs and I have a pair myself, but I cannot wear the Bushnells because my foot walks right out of them.  I have a pair similar to these and when I wear them I literally feel 6 feet tall.  Not my favorite.

Because I have so much free time right now this summer, I've started watching a lot more vlogs.  Krista from Covering the Bases is my favorite but I also watched one on Emily's trip to Lake Louise and now I'm ready to pack our bags and head there for our next vacation!
What are some good vlogs that I must watch?!

I also posted about Whole30 earlier this week and let's just say I have A LOT to share with you about it next week!  I'm not sure if I'll do it next Monday or Tuesday, but be on the lookout.  It may not be what you're expecting.

I hope y'all have a great weekend!  We've got plans to attend a crawfish boil tomorrow night and Dustin is really excited about that haha!

  1. Those wedges are very cute, and I love that everyone keeps saying how cushiony they are! I would try the La Roche Posay tinted sunscreen primer. I don't feel it's as oily as other sunscreens.

  3. A crawfish boil sounds like so much fun! My hair does NOT do well in humidity. All this week in Florida I wore my hair up everyday which I NEVER do. I think this may need to be purchased. Can't wait to hear what you think about those wedges. I want them myself so bad! UGGs are seriously my favorite!

  9. I love those wedges- they look super comfortable!! I've never been to a crawfish boil, is that similar to a crab boil with potates and veggies thrown into the pot?
