Hey y'all!  My name is Sarah and welcome to my little blog!

I married the love of my life on July 26, 2014 on the most beautiful day.

We live in a small town in Alabama, and I teach seventh grade English at my former junior high.  I know that this is a career that God has specifically placed me in, and I hope that my students see Christ in me.

During our first year of marriage, we built and moved into our new home!
You can read a little more about that here.

During our second year of marriage, I finished graduate school with my master's in library media, and Dustin received a job promotion at work!

Our third year of marriage was marked by countless trips to fertility doctors, thousands of dollars spent on fertility treatments and medicine, and a failed IVF round.  Read about our struggle with infertility.

Our fourth year of marriage brought a second failed IVF round and a pregnancy that ended in a miscarriage.  BUT in God's goodness, our fourth year of marriage also brought us to pursue domestic adoption!  We celebrated four years of marriage amidst home study paperwork and agency paperwork!

Our beautiful son, Harrison Booth Allessandro Shaneyfelt, was born February 27, 2019, in a story that only God could write.  To read about it, click here and here.

I love...
reading, talking, baking sweets, fall clothes, all white interiors, love notes, cookbooks, monograms, Christmas everything, running/exercising, reality tv, and spending time with my family!

The most important thing that you should know about me is that I strive to live every single day glorifying God in all things!  And while I constantly fail at that, I serve a risen Savior whose death on the cross covered my sins.  I repent daily and strive to imitate Christ in all that I do.
"I have been crucified with Christ.  It is no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me.  And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."  Galatians 2:20
