Weekend Review!

Monday, February 26, 2018

Can you believe it's already Monday??
Yep, this is exactly how I feel today.

Do you ever make plans and then when it comes time to actually do them, you suddenly wish you didn't make those plans?  Once I realized how packed our weekend was really going to be, I suddenly wanted to be free of our plans!  We kept our Friday plans but totally changed our Saturday plans and Saturday turned out to be a really great day!

Friday we went to the grand opening of a local brewery and ran into so many people we knew.  My sister and brother in law met up with us later that night.  You can tell she put effort  into what she wore and I just kept on what I had on at school that day 😜

Saturday morning we got up really early and went to a pancake breakfast.

We went to the grocery store together and then since it was such a beautiful day, we decided to go to our local park to walk for exercise.  Since I'm still not able to do anything high impact right now, speed walking is my choice of exercise.

Dustin grilled steaks Saturday  night, and I tried to recreate once of my favorite restaurant filet mignon's by throwing some blue cheese on top....definitely not the same.  I told Dustin I liked how he cooked mine on Valentine's Day much better!

This is our only picture from Sunday.  We went to church, ate at Panera after, and I grabbed frozen yogurt next door.  Then once we came home, I put on a Hallmark movie and we both took a nice nap! haha!  Then we had church again last night.

Our weekend was pretty low key, but it was exactly how I wanted it!

  3. I've become a little more introverted as I'm getting older, so I regret the plans I make all the time! I would say that I usually want to get out of them at least 50% of the time. It's bad! One of my biggest pet peeves though is when people cancel plans over and over, so I try really hard not to be that girl and only make a commitment if I know I'll be able to make it or want to make it. With that being said, I was feeling so aggravated yesterday that I agreed to take Hadley to a four year old's birthday party and wanted to cancel so bad, but I thought about how I'd be so ticked if someone did that to Hadley. So we went and honestly had the best time. This comment got long, but all of this to say that I TOTALLY understood what you meant about regretting the plans you made! Glad you put your interests first though on Saturday and had a great day with your hubby!! Those kinds of days are important and honestly the sweetest!!

  4. Oh nothing like having pancakes on a Saturday morning. I wish I was better about taking naps on the weekend but I never do. Even as a child I was bad at napping. haha

  9. I am the same way when it comes to plans! Some days I get really excited about them and other times I just want to sit at home.

  10. That first image!! I just texted my mom that I already can't wait to go to bed haha and totally the same way about plans! We've actually been more careful about making plans and trying to leave more days/nights just open because we always end up feeling like that!

  12. I am SO glad I'm not the only one like that about last minute not wanting to do whatever we had planned! Usually once I force myself to go, I'm glad I did...but getting there is the hard part!
