Christmas 2017 Home Tour!

Tuesday, December 12, 2017

I feel like I say this about every post this link up, but I really love today's topic.  I have always loved home tours, but there's something magical about a home tour during the Christmas season....the twinkle lights, a bright Christmas tree...it's all so warm and cozy!

This year I decided to tone it down a little this Christmas.  I didn't put out some decorations and I moved some things around.  Dustin even commented about how "toned down" our decorations looked this year, but I felt like it was a good year for change!

Without further adieu, welcome to the Shaneyfelt home!
I had to mark out our address 😂

I'm missing the backdrop for our nativity, but it costs $150 so that will come later ha!

I did a really simple tablescape this year.

I moved our tree this year, too.  We've always put it in front of those back windows, but this year I wanted to try it in that spot and it worked out!

I did add a little tree to the guest bath this year.

A special thanks to Michaela for cohosting today's house tour post with Victoria and I!  I can't wait to see everyone's homes!

  2. Your house looks beautiful all decorated for Christmas. I paired down our decorations this year too! You should check Amazon for the Creche for the nativity. Last year I was able to score ours for $67.00! They are not that cheap right now but I think I got ours after Christmas.

  8. I love the tree in your room! Also, I am dying over your front porch! A requirement for our next house is a porch where two people can sit outside on it, and yours is PERFECT!!!

  12. I love your toned down decor this year! We did the same thing, I just wasn't feeling like dragging everything out like I usually do-but it's nice. Where is your nativity from? Ever since we got married I've wanted one, but I can never find just the right one!

  15. I always love seeing your home at Christmas it's so cozy!! And I'm 99% sure the wooden tree by your bedroom is the same tree on our work conference room table. Which makes having meetings super awkward because you're constantly bobbing and weaving around the thing to see the people across from you. I have SO many stories I can tell about the girl who put that there along with the other inconvenient decorations throughout our offices....SO many stories. I digress...your house, it's beautiful as always. I've been seeing more people put trees in their bedrooms this year, and I love that!! Something to jot down for next year!!
