Friday Favorites!

Friday, September 1, 2017

Happy Friday, y'all!  I am so excited about this weekend for multiple reasons--it's a 3 day weekend, it's the start of college football season, and it transitions into September, which to me is officially fall!

So this weekend Dustin and I will be watching football while I decorate for fall 😃

As always, I'm linking up with some of my favorites to share a few favorites from this week!

I went to Target and browsed through the new clothing lines they now carry.  One of the lines, A New Day, seemed to be closest to my style and I found this skirt.  I was going to buy it and then I didn't, so I need y'all's honest (but still kind!) opinions.  What do you think of this skirt?  Obviously not paired with my t-shirt, but maybe a chambray top?

I bought this cookbook yesterday and have read only a little bit so far, but it's really informative!  I've definitely done a good job lately of cooking a protein with veggies (pretty much a sheet pan meal), but this cookbook/book (it's like half a book too of advice!) has encouraged me to do better.  Tia writes about having endometriosis and having to have 2 surgeries.  After that, she decided (with urging from her doctor) to revamp her diet and lifestyle to use food as a medicine.  Definitely something that can't hurt to try!

This coat (but in pink) is in the September issue of Southern Living and I WANT IT!!!

I've really enjoyed delving into some fashion blogging, so I have some exciting looks coming to the blog this month!  The first one will be next week--and it's not this one!  Thanks to my awesome Sister for always shooting my photos!

  5. That skirt is so cute and would be perfect for fall!

Seeing Tia Mowry totally reminds me of my childhood / the 90s! I love cookbooks that have more substance to them so I'll definitely have to check this one out!

    Have a great weekend!

  6. I need to go check out Target's new lines soon. All the heart eyes for that coat! I love a good coat. Are the recipes in that cookbook more on the "normal" side? I have a picky eater to feed so I'm always looking for healthier recipes that Jared will eat too :)
