Friday Favorites!

Happy Veteran's Day!  I am so thankful for the men and women who have served or are currently serving in the armed forces.  Both my dad (Air Force) and my grandfather (Army) are veterans!

Today's Friday Favorites will be short and sweet because I am headed out of town with my dad and sister for the weekend while Dustin works.  I'll be posting stuff on IG so check there!  (@saraheshaneyfelt)

I love listening to Pandora and different radio stations I've created.  The Avett Brothers is one of my favorite bands and I love their station because of the variety of music that plays.  I'm obsessed with this song, and I can't get this song out of my head!

Cool weather where I get to dress cute is my absolute favorite!!!

This was my after voting stress-eating snack.  We were allowed to leave during our planning periods at school.  Mine starts at 11 and so I honestly didn't think there would be that many people at my polling place since that's before the lunch rush house.  Wrong!  It was jam-packed, and I had to go through two lines since my town had it's own special election other than the general election.

Neat Fact:  I live in a town of 14,000 people.  We were the largest dry municipality in the state of Alabama.....until Tuesday night.  After 14 years of the wet/dry vote being on the ballot, my little town went wet.

Dustin hard at work making out his Christmas list because remember, he's always my favorite!  I posted this on IG and FB and realized that making out a list at our age is way more common that I thought!  I may need to get my act together and make out a list.  I usually just randomly tell him things I want when I think of them.  Lately I've been coming up with items for my stocking ha!

This is a throw-back to junior high!  The 8th grade English teachers used to give out these Tiger Pop suckers sometimes during class when people finished work.  My school's mascot is a tiger so it was fitting.  Now these aren't sold anywhere local.  My partner teacher is also a girl who graduated high school with me, and her grandmother randomly found these out somewhere.  She brought me one and it was the best day ever!

Victoria and I will be hosting a really fun Christmas link up!  I wrote about it here so check it out to see the list of prompts and dates for each post.  We are so excited to read all of the blogs that link up, and I think this will be a really fun way to find new blogs!

I'm hoping to have a recap up Monday of our weekend trip, but it may be Tuesday if we get back late on Sunday.  I hope y'all have a wonderful long weekend!

  5. I agree that fall clothes are the best. I actually make a google doc for my parents for Christmas. It's easy to link everything whenever I start to look for items. Jess at Just Jess

  6. Love your fall outfits - so cute! The husband and I need to make out our Christmas list and I'm having such a trouble trying to decide things I really want (that I don't normally go buy!). Seems so funny to make lists at our age - so much easier when all I wanted were toys! Have a fun weekend! :)

  8. I just love fall clothes too! I love your dress/cardigan/boots combo, you look fabulous in it!! Your husband making his list is hilarious 😂 I am totally guilty of also making a list still. I do mine on Pinterest every year so when my mom or hubby's family asks for things to get they can just look on there!

    Happy weekend to y'all! :)

  9. I live in Alabama too & during the primary election my county (which was the only fully dry county in the state!) had both of major towns (by major, I mean my town has about 14,000 as well!) It's weird how all of these long-standing traditions are changing!

Also, I'm super exited for y'all's link-up...I'm hoping to be able to participate in at least a few of the days!
