Friday Favorites: End of Summer Edition!

Friday's are normally my favorite day of the week except when school starts back today!  All teachers in my system report back today and kids don't come until Wednesday.  So depending on what time you're reading this blog, I'm either getting ready for school or sitting through a training on dyslexia.  #teacherlife  One thing I am excited about today is getting to be with all of my teacher friends again :)

Today I'm linking up with Andrea to show you a few favorite moments from this past week!

When possible this week, I've really tried to soak up the fact that I could do absolutely nothing during the day.  Catching up on the Real Housewives of New Jersey while covered up in a blanket (and reading blogs) was definitely a favorite moment!

It rained one day while I was home and it really made me think about how much I love rainy days.  Actually, let me clarify.  I do not like rainy days when I have to get out in the rain and be somewhere....like school.  But I love rainy days at home and I wanted to capture my last rainy summer day at home!

Okay, so this may not be a favorite, but I definitely had one of those moments where I forgot I had clothes in the dryer when a freshly washed load needed to go in the dryer.  So instead of letting these run a little more to get the wrinkles out, I placed them on the bench to let the others dry.  After taking the other load out of the dryer, I put these back in and didn't fold them until yesterday.  Anyone else have those moments where you are unmotivated to fold any clothes?

Beautiful sunny mornings working on my study through 1 Peter are a favorite.  If you've never done a Jen Wilkin study, you must!  It's intense, but I have learned so much.

My best friend lives too far from me, and we are still dreaming of the day when we can live in the same town again.  Until then, we'll schedule random weekdays to eat lunch and catch up.  So thankful for her friendship!

I love receiving snaps from my husband!  I was unable to go to a doctor's appointment with him, so he snapped me to let me know where he was eating a snack after his appointment ha!  Life with him is a favorite!

Excuse the cleavage in this picture (my sister pointed that out to me), but getting back into running and training for a half marathon that's in December has been a favorite (sometimes ha) this summer!

I babysat this cutie and his baby brother last night--always a favorite!  We played on Snapchat and his favorite was being a puppy!

  2. Rainy days are the best when you can just cozy up at home. I don't always mind the rain when I have to run errands - gives me an excuse to wear my Hunter boots!

  5. I'm pretty sure I've "dried" the same load of laundry up to three times before. Stephen just started playing around with Snapchat a couple nights ago and is begging me to download so he can send me pics with drawings...much like the one you got. I've refused so far. HA. Have a good first day back!!

  6. Bahaha, every single moment for me is a "no motivation to fold" one. No will whatsoever.

  8. I agree, rainy days are only enjoyed if you get to stay indoors for them. Not when you have places to go. Have a great weekend!

  9. I love a rainy day when I am home...however, I DESPISE indoor recess at school :) Hahahaha! If it could just rain on a Saturday or Sunday that would be great!

  10. All my teacher friends have their half day with their students today so I got all of their "first day back" snap chats this morning lol. Rainy days are the best...when you don't have to get out in them for sure lol! I go through phases where I am on top of our laundry, and everything is nice and folded and put away and then there are times (like this week) where I have absolutely no motivation to fold them and they sit in a basket unfolded for 3+ days. It drives me crazy lol!

    Have a great weekend! :)
