House Tour Tuesday--November 2015

Tuesday, November 3, 2015

It's the first Tuesday of the month which means it's time for another House Tour Tuesday!  (If you've missed my others, just check out my House Tour tab!)   Today we'll be touring my friend Maribeth's house.  She teaches school with me and I've always loved her home and what she's done to make it hers!

Let's take a look!

I love her entryway!

Dining Room

This is a wall of china in Maribeth's dining room.  All of these are from the china collections in Maribeth's and her husband's family.  They have patterns from both parents and grandparents.  Isn't that such a great idea?

Living Room

View into the kitchen

I'm obsessed with her laundry room and I wish mine were like this!  The counter on top of her washer and dryer was a Pinterest project that her husband aced :)  Notice the chandelier--If you have to do laundry, why not do it in style?!

Master Bedroom

The cross was her cake topper

Master Bath

Maribeth's FIL built the shelf between mirrors

This is in the entryway in from the garage.  These knobs were taken out of Maribeth's grandmother's (or great grandmother's) house!  I love how she's used family heirlooms throughout her home.

I had a great time photographing Maribeth's house, and I'm so thankful she allowed me the opportunity to do so!

Below are the questions I ask everyone whose house we tour:

   1. What’s your favorite thing about your house?
My favorite thing is my screened in back poarch. I call it my happy place.

2. If you were to build again, what is something that you would do differently?
I would have a three car garage and either a bonus room upstairs or a fourth bedroom.

3. What’s your favorite memory that you have made in your house?
Easter Brunch! Every year, I host easter brunch and we have a blast.

4. Any plans for your house in the future?
Yes, a few more projects outside and I would like Crown molding in a few more rooms.

5. What’s your favorite store to shop for home décor?
Hobby Lobby, Ikea and I love to collect different items while on vacation.
